In the UK the Germans where well known for reserving sun loungers in holiday spots by placing towels /sunglasses or some other item on them, usually at some ungoldy hour so when we drunken brits made our way down to the poolside later in the day there was nowhere to sit.Just lots of empty sun loungers with items on them.. This is no longer a problem as with the exchange rate we can't go on holiday any more.
