>I bet this is a prank; the car is empty and attached to the front of the truck for shock value.

Well it appears on the opening page of Yahoo UK as a real news item.

"Probe as lorry collision caught on camera

An astonishing video has been captured of a lorry driving on the A1 with a Renault Clio stuck to its radiator - and its driver still inside.

Fortunately, the person in the supermini emerged unhurt after the lorry driver realised what was happening and came to a stop.

The lorry appears to have been travelling at around 60mph in the fast lane of the A1(M) near Wetherby in West Yorkshire.

The driver apparently knew nothing about the blue Renault he was pushing along at speed.

In the video, shot on a mobile phone from another car, one of the shocked witnesses can be heard shouting, “he hasn't seen it!”

It's not known how the situation unfolded, but Arclid Transport, the lorry company, is now investigating.

A spokesman for Arclid told Sky News Online that "an incident did happen along that stretch of the motorway and we opened an investigation and reported the matter to the police."
