Dan ---
A few out of many:
Pros:
1) Using views in an application keeps the app scalable, meaning that it's much easier to swap out data sources should you need to in the future.
2) Views represent a select group of rows rather than the entire table for manipulation of parent-child or other relations.
3) Views are the ONLY way to natively work (meaning native VFP commands before anyone starts yelling at me) with non-native data sources (Oracle, SQL Server, et al).
Cons:
I don't know of any general cons...if you could outline a specific situation?
>Can anyone supply me with pros and cons of working through views vs. tables? Any assistance is appreciated.
