Hi BIll.
Saw your messages re Strataframe and just to let you know that I have been using VFP for more years than I care to
remember but purchased Startaframe a while back.
Due to other VFP committments, I havent been able to devote that much time to it.
After reading manuals, and also going on a Strataframe course over a year ago, I had to do up a very simple
app a few weeks ago.
It took me literally about 30 mins to do a few screens (StrataFrame and SQl Server)
The data binding is very similar to VFP and you need to write very little code to accomplish quite a lot
The support given by Stratframe is also excellent and I would have no problem recommending them
I found Startaframe a geat introduction to .net and in addition it has all the plumbing for designing an app
i.e. Business Objects, Data Management, Security etc
Regards,
Gerard

>I saw you mentioning Strataframe in another thread. If you don't mind, I would like your impressions on the product. I am making my change to dotnet and am looking for a framework. I have been working with Maxframe for VFP since it was first out and can't imagine taking on a new environment without a good framework. I have been looking at Strataframe, CSLA and the DevExpress eXpressApp frameworks.

The DevExpress product uses both in their product as well as supporting web development. The last I looked, Strataframe didn't have any plans for WPF or Silverlight support, at least not in the near future.
