>The Democrats are doing a good job of destroying our country economically and militarily.

Couple of questions for you, Bill.

1. I don't see in the article where it says the judge is a Democrat. Can you help me?

2. Did you read the last two paragraphs? Sounds like it was the prosecutors who backed off because the prisoner was tortured. I don't know their party affiliation, either, but know prosecutors tend to be Republicans.

3. Oh, one more. What countries or groups have been destroying us militarily? Al Qaeda got us on 9/11. They got us good, especially economically. And showing us what it's like to live in fear of it happening again, something that had never happened to us before. Not to mention quality of life issues in the hypervigilant current climate. (Enjoyed flying any time recently? Taking your shoes off, all that? Me neither. Flying has become a bad experience to be endured, not enjoyed).

I didn't know we were being destroyed economically, either, not by politics. The economy has been bad for most of the past decade, with plenty of blame to go around. If you think any President or Congress can make something as large and complicated as the U.S. economy march in formation, we have different outlooks.

We will bounce back from the troubles that have been afflicting us. We always have. It might help if we tried to work together instead of pointing fingers and constantly playing the blame game. How about we look for solutions, even half a loaf ones, instead of scapegoats? We might actually get more done.

I know what you think about Obama so don't expect you to agree with this. One of the things I like most about him is he is a pragmatist. You think he is some flaming liberal. He isn't. (Nancy Pelosi, maybe yes). He didn't get everything he wanted in health care reform. He did manage to get a bill passed, something that had been tried and failed since 1916. That's right, 1916. That's almost 100 years.
