Just a precaution - are you sure the wireless device wouldn't interfere (interfear :) with other equipment? I've seen bad things happen to a simple coax ethernet connectino in the x-ray (and sure Cetin knows more of such issues). I wonder if some other equipment may have bad influence to the wireles connection and vice versa (if metal detectors can interfere with pacemakers, who knows what else may influence other things).
