That is a wise decision. I say that with no flippancy at all. Even friends can profoundly disagree, and it's a wise person who says no thanks.
Maybe we should all take The Pledge -- no more bickering about politics. We'll all be dead soon enough and no one will care or remember where we stood on the issues of the day.
