All we can hope for is that within a few years, the reps have to admit that this is a milestone in american history from which every american benefits.

>Yep., he was. He got world champion all round (500m, 1500m, 5000m, 10000m) for the 4th in a row time last weekend. That had never been done before.... and he's only 23. So he might get a 3rd chance at the olympics in 4 years time.

>Anyways there was a promosing newcomer as well. An american guy of 20 years old with the name of "chuck" (forgot his surname). He got 2nd.

>Bokko from norway got third. He's like Sven a stayer (5000m and 10000m) but also does until now always finishes after sven. I can imagine he gets really frustrated.

He has plenty of medals but that was really sad. He was the dominant skater and had the race locked up. You could even see him hesitate because he had been counting laps. Apparently against his better judgment he made the lane change. Bzzzt.

I feel for the coach as well. He was also an Olympic skater and felt terrible. He messed up and cost a guy who had worked long and hard for that medal.
