Have you ever read the constitution and bill of rights? Do you know why Medicaid is legal and this bill is not? This entire process was planned out. Don't ever say the Dems do not operate as smartly or even more so than the the Repubs. It will take some time for any decision to take place whether or not to even hear the cases - at least 12-18 months. In the meantime, some of the stuff in the bill (like the new rules for insurance companies) will take effect which will increase their costs and raise premiums.

Here is what I see possibly happening:

1) Multiple states file legal action (already done)
2) States refuse to enforce the requirement for everyone to purchase insurance (even though the new requirements will be in place for insurance companies to not refuse anyone coverage, no caps, etc)
3) Insurance companies will have greater requirements (expenses) but little increased income from premiums or new enrollees so they will be forced to raise premiums to cover their increased expenses
4) The U.S. government will be forced to institute an affordable (to the consumer) government run, taxed based, public option into the system.
5) The insurance companies will go out of business and eventually the public option will become the single payer system.

If the tone was too harsh then I apologize. I read it after I posted and it may read harsher than I intended.
