Oh yes it looks like it when you read that part in English too:) My brain prefers to see it as a real number like Net Framework 4, Windows 7 etc. Can you imagine a sentence like this:

"Can I use Net Framework 4 writing F# code?" Go figure what 4 stands there 4 < g > and your answer would be affected.
