Hi Debra,
you need to find out which command line the application uses to print xdf files. On Windows XP and prior open Explorer and select Tools > Folder Options. On the file type tab search for XDF files and lookup the command line associated with the print command. On Vista and later I didn't find a way to access this through the user interface. Here you would need to open the registry and search the Class Root for the .XDF extension. Take note of the document type associated with the file extension. The search for the document type. It should have a Shell\Print entry with the command line.
