Jukt Micronics is non-existant internet software firm. The New Republic was the victim of an article written by Stephen Glass. Glass was fired after Adam L. Penenberg of Forbes magazine proved his article to be a hoax, along with 27 other articles written by Glass in past issues.
My guess - SCAM !!

you know, from that story you just told me, they could make a movie out of! The author's name was Stephen Glass??? They could call the movie "Broken Glass" or something like that!
