For individual drives, you can usually see the drive make and model number in Device Manager.

If you have an array, you can usually see information about the individual drives via the RAID storage manager. On my system, I have 2 drives mirrored in RAID 1 on an Intel ICH10R motherboard RAID controller. In Device Manager they appear as "Volume0" under "Disk Drives", but the Intel Matrix Storage Console shows hardware information for the drives that are members of the array.
