That's right, I agree with the stay of execution - I still favor the death penalty. But only when it's CERTAIN. I would rather imprison 100 guilty men for life than put 1 innocent man to death.

As far as "why" it took this long - the only thing I can see is that the original defense team didn't use the DNA evidence. Now, why the hell that should make a difference is beyond me - that is a huge concern of mine and it would appear there's been some incompetence along the way.
