I don't understand the relation to a tool that works on database metadata and multi-companies. A software is a multiuser software or not w/o a relation to database structure. If you mean multi-companies mean a database that handles multi companies' data and yet logically divide the data into compartments, then I would solve it in different ways like:
-Having a different folder for each company's data (or database if it is say SQL server)
-Having a companyId, name, descrition ... data in a single table and using companyID key in others where appropriate (and/or in case of SQL server partitioning data on company key)

I simply can't see the relation to a database tool.
