I'm getting pretty comfortable with VS2010 Ultimate RC. I've had a few crashes, but other than that it has some really GREAT features (which it should for what it will cost!).

One thing I noticed yesterday working on an ASP.NET site (.NET 3.5 - not 4.0) is that I can't open any existing report for editing. I get a message asking if I want to convert the report to RDLC 2008 format. It states that if I don't convert it will be opened as XML rather than in the designer.

Not being big on punishing myself I'd like to use the designer rather than guess what happens in XML.

If I select to open in XML I just get an error screen saying "The version of the report definition language (RDL) is not support by Visual Studio 2010 Report Designer.". Handy.

So my question (finally!) is.. If I tell it to convert to RDLC 2008 format, will the report work on my existing ASP.NET 2.0 site, or do I have to upgrade to whatever version of ASP.NET comes with .NET 4.0?
