The comments below that article certainly are interesting. Over time I've noticed a definite "anti-police" perspective in your messages (at least you don't call them "Pigs" anymore :o)...Police are human too and do make mistakes. The sad part is that those mistakes can be tragic. I tend to look at it as one of the most stressful jobs and just like the military, needs organized and required stress reduction methods. That doesn't excuse their behavior, but until the investigation is completed, I'll hold judgment.
