I'm thinking, that you can bring definitions of the numerical fields from SQL Server using Information_Schema.Columns view (the fields that participate in each particular form) and then compare juststem(ControlSource) against the cursor of such fields.

The only way I know how to do it is to create an array using AFILED() and search for the particular field in the array for the size. But I am really hoping for something better. I guess, I can create a number of form array properties for each table I need to find the field type. Then in the gotfocus() of the textbox search for the type in the corresponding array and set the format accordingly.

If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
