I was not aware they recommended that? How long has that been the recommendation? I thought having the DLLs in the Windows\System32 folder was just fine. And, actually, it has been. In most of my installations, these DLLS are in that folder and the system runs with no problems, but in the Win2K3 installations, placing them in the app's folder solved the "FLL is invalid" issue (for 32-bit and some 64-bit versions). I'm just left wondering why it is not solving it on this one particular server . . .

>>When running VFP on a Win2K3 server under terminal services, I was having an error with Cryptor that said "C40FOX90.FLL is invalid". I was able to solve it by placing MSVCR71.DLL and MSVCP71.DLL in the folder with my EXE. That's on a Win2K3 Standard Edition installation. With a Win2K3 64-bit installation, the solution has not worked. I don't think this is really a problem with Cryptor as much as it's a problem with FLLs. Does anyone know what might solve this problem?

>>UPDATE: Well, that subject should have been "FLL file is invalid", but I can't update the subject . . .
