Do you really want devices attached to a device that could not be simpler in form? The iPad is a thin rectangle, one piece. You can easily pass it around, use it in front of the TV with no juggling, slide it into a backpack, etc. Hanging a keyboard or something off it sounds like a colostomy bag to me.
Maybe you should offer to help them get it, Charles ;-). These guys are completely clueless.
