A remote desktop solution will minimize (perhaps nearly eliminate) the amount of work you need to make your app available across the Internet.
Microsoft's offering is Remote Desktop Services (RDS, formerly Terminal Server):

You will probably want one (or more) dedicated RDS server(s) to host your Internet users. Many hosting companies offer a range of plans. Some have overviews at their sites e.g. RackSpace:
