That's what happen in a big family. Difference of age, experiences, envy, frustration will lead to chaos.

So people will argue a lot over how things are done. Who is selected as a nominee. Who didn't get selected. Why people were selected... Then it'll be other discussions after the winner is selected. This will go on and on.

The only way to do these kind of things is to say. The recipient this year is "John/Jane Doe". People could criticize but after a while it'll be over.

Doug is a too nice guy. I'm sure he didn't realize what he would get into when he invited averybody to participate in this.
