I don't know why you're being so cynical about this. I can't make this plainer: we have NOT discussed this award in any detail other than how to proceed. It was actually Mike Feltman who emailed me asking about whether the award should continue. It was Tamar's idea to have the committee consist of previous recipients and someone from the community, and it was my idea (I think) to solicit nominations for the recipient from the community. That's it, that's all we've discussed. No hidden agenda, no pre-selected recipient. Also, do you really think Tamar or I, or anyone else on the committee for that matter, would be involved in something like you've suggested?
