I have made the change to the SQL Select and use WHERE instead of TOP (I had to get the last number first) and the speed of getting the query is 100 times faster. Hopefully when I switch to SQL Server I will find a method to find the last PK value quickly too.
>The SYS(3054) can only report on WHERE and JOIN optimization. I'm not sure if VFP is capable of optimizing anything else.
