Something else I heard was this morning on the radio...

2 pilots of a commercial flight flew through a plume of ash, and they said the dust is like sandpaper, and abraded the pilots windows to the point they could not see out of the plane! (Had to instrument land the plane.... yikes!!).

Also, don't drive in the cloud if it is falling on the ground (there goes the engine of the car! Plus the windshield will be abraded if you use windshield fluid and turn on the wipers!)....

And remove your contacts!!!! Your eyes will get abraded under them......
