Robert,

The Foxshare mailing list is one where you ask your questions, and have them
answered, by e-mail. Unlike The Universal Thread you simply send an e-mail
and everyone on the mailing list receives your e-mail. Then whoever wants
to respond does so.

One of the good things about it is that Robert Green, Microsoft's
Visual FoxPro Product Development Manager, is on it and participates
actively.

I personally think the best technical gurus are on The Universal Thread
but there are a few good ones on the Foxshare list.

One word of warning, if you subscribe be prepared to get at least 30-50
e-mails a day from it. For this reason I use a completely different
e-mail address for the Foxshare List from my regular e-mail address.

Here is the info you require :

>>>I went (prematurely) directly to VFP6. I don't think its as stable as 5, though not bad either. MS has announced SP1 for Visual Studio due out at the end of October. I'd wait till after that ships, if I had to do it again.
>>>Do a search for 000005 errors and you'll see some of the problems in 6.
