Well, I did add a smiley, but I was only partially kidding. I think the Fox community is pretty good--the average level of expertise is higher than that in the C++ community. More folks here know about design patterns. More people have good ideas about UI. I haven't heard of anyone good being out of work. The status quo isn't so terrible.
However, I am worried about current VFP developers who think the world is passing them by, and hence they "defect" to VB or the like. It's possible that the Excellence Awards (about which I'd heard nothing before this thread) may encourage them to stick around.
It was just a thought.
