That just won't get anywhere, because it would cut into the interests of the corporations supplying food to this, ahem, industry. Just take the case here at ODU, where the students are charged a fee for the food, willy-nilly, even if they don't eat at the cafeteria or mess hall or what have they, but OTOH are not only not allowed to know what they are eating; they are not even allowed to ask about the contents of their meals. There is only one supplier, from what I heard. The student union started a fight over this, but I'm not holding my breath that there will be any sort of outcome soon. Except the profitable status quo, of course.
