Is it possible to apply an opacity to the conversion? For example I'd like to convert RGB(0,0,255) to have a 50% opacity in the HTML format.

I know that there is a CSS opacity setting (and filter:opacity for IE), but, these are not working for my situation where I'm trying to show alternating light and dark row background colors in a table. If I apply a 10% and 5% value to the TD opacity, I lose the text in the rows and only see the "striped" effect. The low values of the opacity is eliminating the text so now I want to try setting the actual background-color without using CSS opacity/filters. I hope I've explained it enough for you to understand what I'm trying to accomplish.
