I don't know. I was wondering if it was possible though, to take the color number (in my case I'm always passing in the result of RGB(r,g,b)) and apply an opacity to it before converting to html. Any ideas? It's really too bad that IE does not support RGBA() as posted here

>>I'm using your utility that converts a color number to HTML format and it is working great! Thanks for sharing that function. For anyone not familiar with Sergy's blog, check it out at

>>I know that there is a CSS opacity setting (and filter:opacity for IE), but, these are not working for my situation where I'm trying to show alternating light and dark row background colors in a table. If I apply a 10% and 5% value to the TD opacity, I lose the text in the rows and only see the "striped" effect. The low values of the opacity is eliminating the text so now I want to try setting the actual background-color without using CSS opacity/filters. I hope I've explained it enough for you to understand what I'm trying to accomplish.
