This problem is starting to sound real bad, especially if they won't fix SMB2 and are expecting the non-existent VFP team.

What about MS Access?

I remember in the 90's when I was a contractor at MS that there was an OS bug that affected VFP and MS Access and the OS folks fixed it on their side.
