>>>I have no idea what kind of personality Jimmy Clausen has. I do know he was handed the keys at ND and accomplished little. Maybe that's why the NFL is not enthusiastic.

>>Maybe I didn't get across what I was trying to say : He was picked by many as technically and pedigree-wise to be a very high draft pick but he seems to really creep people out in person. Hence Denver wanted Tebow - mechanics and all - and lots of teams who in theory really need a QB and looked at him close and visited and worked him out are passing - pretty much based on his personality. And I think that is a valid reason.

I think that the concern is that under stress you revert. Seems like this kid is hard-working and disciplined enough that if mechanics can be reprogrammed he's the guy who can do it. His progress will be fun to watch. He certainly can do a lot of stuff you can't coach. ( and is a pretty unlikely candidate for the Millegeville, GA police blotter <g> )

Charles Hankey

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
