I monkeyed around with the user and UAC settings and got it to work. Weird.

Isn't \windows\system32 off limits? It won't let me change the security settings.

Actually I want to leave UAC on. It's a broadband connection, i.e. always on, and there is too much malware out there. I can stand the occasional warning messages.

Thanks for the heads up on StrataFrame. I guess I will get to go through the same thing.
