>Didn't know about the free MySQL gui tool set! Thanks. Thru it's use I think I've determined that the issue is with a blank date. One of the values in the set statement is `dtCancel`=' - - '. In query browser this is causing the error 1292 (incorrect date value) to be thrown. I've been looking for a flag that may be set incorrectly but so far no luck. Again - this does not seem to be a problem in our production environment. I reviewed that information and my post yesterday was not quite right. In production we are running 5.0 while in dev we have 5.1. Suppose this would cause this error?
I'm using Toad for MySQL (there's one for SQL and few other dialects as well). It's adware, but nothing intrusive nor nagging, ie. it's basically free but has a browser (IE engine) page which comes up first. Requires some distinct version of .net, probably 1.1 runtime, which you need to download separately. It does pretty much everything you need - analysis, extensive logging and other tools are to be paid.
