Has anyone found a way to return some DHTML into the .innerHTML property and succeeded to send some javascript in it that would be visible at the page level?

In some pages, the DHTML code I am returning need to contain some javascript. However, this javascript has no effect when returned as is and generates an error when being called as the object is not found. There is certainly a way to do that.
