Thanks guys. Cetin you are correct, Naomi's original query only returned one record for those groups that had an "N". My mistake on the query needing to be updatedable. It actually needs to be a query used to drive a grid for a subsequent updateable view for a single record. I didn't realize at first that the grouping wouldn't allow the view to be updateable and it wasn't necessary after all. I have used the two select version that you came up with as suggested. Thanks to both of you for your time.
