When a validation occurs once the send has been done, the page should be refreshed with the actual data that was submitted. If that wasn't the case, there could be a security in place conflicting with that. As a test, you may try to create a test message in the Universal Thread forum with a title having only uppercase characters. When the message will be sent, there should be a validation message stating something about it. However, the title, the category and the content of the message should be appearing as they were entered. If this the behavior you are seeing?
