Bob...

>Are you 100% sure it can't be done in pure VFP?

Where did you read that things had to be 100 pure VFP? You don't advocate the use ActiveX controls? Not even those that ship with the product?

Am I sure it can't be done with the base ComboBox? Well, I couched my response that I was pretty sure it could not be done - and provided some reasoning as to why I came to that conclusion. At the very least, I think I provided more insight to the issue than you...< s >. I have been shown otherwise however, that something could be done when I did not think it was possible. Is this one of those cases? It might be. However, I don't see you bringing anything to the table.

>I've seen so many people here get bad or misinfo.

Or no info at all...through a waste of bandwitdth....

>If I had a dime for every time someone told someone else 'you can't do that in >VFP' when you can, I'd have that new dream house by now.

Hold the phone here...I think you are putting words in my mouth. And, as for being able to do something in VFP, I include the use of ActiveX controls as being done in VFP. After all, VFP can host ActiveX controls - did you know that? Time to start thinking out of the box a bit here Bob....

>The reason I was so vauge is due to an NDA... once the product is released, I >will be happy to give Remus a contact name. It is not up to me to give away >methods that are in code I purchase.

Who cares about the product to which you are so privledged to know about....Why should Remus have to wait for you??? There are several solutions available now in the 3rd party control market. If you can't discuss the product to which you refer, it only serves to enforce my original point in that you should not of posted anything at all.... < sigh >
