In addition to what Alexander said, if the user has logged into the server before, it will be in Windows list of "remembered" servers, and the password won't be necessary. In this case passing a 0 (which will be interpreted as a null string) will attach the server to the desired drive. You might want to take a look at my article in the May, 1998 issue of FoxPro Advisor for more details (and some other useful API calls).
