Do a search of the entire project looking for 'MM2008' and I would think you'll find the reference that's causing the problem.
I'm doing a WPF app and upgraded from 3.5 to 3.6. With regard to updating these framework references, I went to the references section of the Project Explorer (for each project, e.g., Business objects project, WFP app project) and removed the prior MM framework references and added in the same references for the new version.
Then in WPF, the XAML markup of each WPF Window also contains references to some of those framework classes. I merely updated each of those and then the project ran OK.
I haven't done a MM web app yet so I don't know if web pages contain references to the framework. But if so, you'll have to find them and update them.

>I have put the stack trace below. It looks like a temporary file somewhere is getting generated and is referencing the old version of the framework (3.5). I have searched for any references to this version 3.5 file but I come up empty. Is there something I need to purge or clean up that would fix this issue.
