I have already done this. The web.config file is updated properly. Also, if I hadn't done this, wouldn't I get a build error? As I mentioned, I am getting a successful build but I get the error at runtime. I have searched for the version 3.5 string in my project and come up empty.

>the problem if you haven't found it already is right there in your message. You need to change the version number from 3.5 to 3.6 in your web.config under assemblies and probably also under the tags section.
