I don't understand WHEN Grid2 should blank... You said "when running the formset"... Isn't the formset running all the time when Grid1 and Grid2 are there?...
I also didn't understand if both Grid1 and Grid2 are in the same form, or if they are in two separate forms in the same formset... (in which case you may play with dataenvironments...)
Anyway, can't you set Grid1.RecordSourceType=1 (Alias) and also Grid2.RecordSourceType=1. Then just
use table1 in 0 alias GoodMorning
use table1 again in 0 alias GoodEvening
Grid1.RecordSource="GoodMorning"
Grid2.RecordSource="GoodEvening"
Then when you want to blank Grid2, you can do it in many different ways, the most stupid way may be
SET FILTER TO .F.
But I still don't understand what do you mean...
