I'm saying if the father commits identify theft, he's commited THAT crime. The other family members have not. If you are in the US illegally, then the ADULTS have commited a crime, but their children cannot be held responsible.

If that is the case, then shouldn't the same hold true for all families regardless of their race or ethnicity? Or are some crimes ok and others not? Or just for illegal immigrants? Slippery slope... If you are a citizen and you commit the crime of identity theft, you usually go to prison.
