Hi Mike,
>Thanks, Thomas. I used to do it that way -- one drive for the OS, one for software, and one for data -- but have come back full circle to keeping everything under one drive letter. With software installing itself under \Program Files and all my data in subdirectories under \My Documents, it doesn't look that cluttered. It isn't a religious issue IMO, this just works for me and is simpler.
I left out the step pointing the \My Documents to the files-partition <bg>.
> Will take Tore's suggestion of disconnecting the current drive until Windows is installed, then hook it back up in case I need something later. (All of which is already backed up on an external HD and on the internet. I am a great believer in redundancy since a spectacular hardware wipeout two years ago in which I lost a lot of data).
Full ACK & Good luck
thomas
