BETWEEN never returned to me incorrect results and I still say it would never return incorrect results:) That is the point we can't agree on. There is no clearly explained problem explained. All the copy&pastes you did do tell between would return you the correct result. If that result is not something you want then it is your problem, not Between nor SQL server datetime.
If I said this:
between '2010/1/1 00:00:00' and '2010/2/2 00:00:00'
and SQL server returns me something like:
'2010/2/2 00:00:01'
then that would be a problem. Period.
