The form that drives the query in question here gives the users all sorts of time frame selections based on their need to look at the machine production data over periods of time that cover minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, quarters and years. Hopefully they'll think the prototype UI is as cool as I think it is...

The index was on DateOfSurgery - DateOfBirth, and all queries had to be written the same way. Made for some interesting behind-the-scenes code in queries, since users really didn't want to enter > 23725 days instead of > 65 years. :-)
