Maybe I'm just being contrary but I didn't know there are browser standards. Not in practice. It wouldn't be that hard to just adhere to a standard. These guys are constantly trying to outdo one another, adding features.
How's Bam Bam?
>It's not a matter of supporting the newest browser... it's a matter of adhering to web standards.

>>I have criticized Michel at times but he is off the hook here. As a one man band he should not be expected to support the newest browser, even if it comes from Google.
>>
>>>And my point is that if you want to write to web standards (which IE8 still sucks at), then Chrome is a good target. Write to the standards first, and then fill in the exceptions.
>>>
>>>>That was not my point at all. My point was that if many sites do not support Firefox, it's not surprising that Chrome is not on the must-do list. And Michel is a one man shop. It's reasonable to give him a pass here.

>>>>>Chrome may be "fringe" in the sense that 6.7% isn't that much; but it's still #3 on the list, and has the best record of innovation and standards compatibility (with the possible exception of Opera) in the last 2 years.
