Typically there is an upgrade exam. From what I can see, the current exams won't count to .NET 4 certification.

Unless you have a pressing need to get certified now, I would study up on the current stuff now and wait for the new exams.

>OK, the MS tests are available for MCTS & MCPD with dot net 4.0 and VS2010 but there are no training materials available for probably another 6 months. If a person were to start with exams now then I assume you would have to soon thereafter take the upgrade exams to be current. Is there any advice about how one should proceed if they do not wish to wait and the materials are not available? Would any of the pre-requisist exams count to switch mid-stream?
