You do your GUI design on VS.NET (2005, 2008 or even 2010,) and business layer with VFP9 (Yes! You can use local cursors, SQL commands, record oriented commands, and all of the other data munging stuff VFP does so well and effortlessly.) Tweaking and testing GUI is ridiculously easy -- as long as you don't need to change business layer stuff, you simply keep the West Wind server running, modify your .NET screen and redraw the page (refresh doesn't always work too well, but you can have your test page as a favorite and easily redraw it from there.)

Thank you for your extended comment. I don't feel comfortable enough with my English to write so much myself. But my small number of questions on Rick's message board should be a good indicator of how easy it is to use WWC5. <g>
