At the time I was working in Lebanon. I happened to be trapped during a bad spell of war in Beirut while on a "mission" to rescue a Zenith 89 micro that was there for repairs. (Truth is that it was bought as a kit and probably never worked) While I was there I saw this copy of Vulcan and was really impressed. I was never really able to order it and shortly after I got an Osborne that, being on offer, came with a copy of dBase II, on top of the normally bundled software.
I agree: perhaps to say that I actually worked with Vulcan was an overstatment. The point was that xBase has survived many incarnations and I am still using it. And happily so.
